Strategy Mark II

Strategy 2021 is the University of Bern's roadmap for the current work cycle until the eponymous year.

Strategic goals include consolidating its status as a comprehensive university offering the full range of study programs and research areas.

To ensure maximum impact on society and the economy, the institution is firmly focused on building on its strengths as a teaching institution and fostering the career path of young academics.

The strategy also names five priority research areas. They are: Matter and the Universe; Health and Medicine; Sustainability; Intercultural Knowledge; and Politics and Administration.
